Classes for School Age Children

Intermediate Chinese Conversation & Jr. Archaeologist Culture Class

What:  Grab your fedora & get ready to DIG Chinese! A journey back in time to discover ancient China through archaeology, crafts, writing and more. Legendary Emperors, barbarian invaders, golden treasures and mysterious characters - solve the mysteries of China. Language will focus on listening and speaking skills at the intermediate level through video & games.
Duration:  2 hours/week for 12 weeks
Who:  Continuing students. New students subject to placement evaluation.
When:  Saturdays 2:00-4:00

Beginning Chinese & Jr. Archaeologist  Class

What:  Grab your fedora & get ready to DIG Chinese! A journey back in time to discover ancient China through archaeology, crafts,
writing and more. Legendary emperors, barbarian invaders, golden treasures and mysterious characters - solve the mysteries of
China. Beginning language will develop listening & speaking skills at the novice level through hands-on songs, games, and crafts. This is a
parent/child class. Parents study free with their children.
Duration: 2 hours/week for 12 weeks
Who: New and continuing students
When:  Sunday morning small group classes (subject to placement evaluation)
NEW CLASS Forming:  Saturday mornings or afternoons 3:00-5:00 based on demand

Jr. Archaeologist Culture Class

What:  A class for students who want to study Chinese archaeology.  No Chinese language or background
required.
Duration:  1 hour/week for 12 weeks
Who:  New & continuing students K-6th grade
When:  Saturdays 3:00-4:00

Classes for Children 1-4 Years Old

What:  A special immersion language class for young children & their parents.
Duration:  1 hour/week for 12 weeks
Who:  Children ages 1-4 & parents
When: 
Beginning level -Saturdays 9:00-10:00
Intermediate level - Sundays 1:30-2:30

Adult Classes

Intermediate Chinese Conversation
Duration:  1.5 hours/week for 12 weeks
Who:  For continuing students.  New students subject to placement evaluation.
When:  Sunday afternoons 2:30-4:00.

Beginning Chinese for Adults
New adult students are encouranged to enroll in the group children's classes.

Group Classes:  new group adult classes can be arranged based on demand.  Private tutoring is available.

Pre-Adoption Chinese:
3 two hour classes.
Who:  For families preparing to adopt from China or Taiwan  Each class is custom tailored to the specific needs of the students enrolled. Tuition is $120/family. Single parents may pair with another student to share tuition costs. Additional materials will apply for 2nd student.  Materials: Pre-Adoption Chinese Book & CD,
additional materials created for each student.  Materials included in the tuition fee.
When: Scheduled individually with each family.
